Job Description

About the role

The Student Services Officer plays a key role in providing warm, responsive and student-centred support throughout the school day. This front-line position assists students, families, staff and visitors while helping ensure the smooth operation of Student Services.

This is a permanent, 5 days per week, term-time only position, commencing 13 July 2026.

Key Responsibilities Include

Providing respectful, pastoral care and practical support to students
Responding to student, parent, caregiver, staff and visitor enquiries
Supporting attendance processes, including late arrivals, early departures and unexplained absences
Providing basic first aid and health support in line with training and College procedures
Maintaining accurate records, class lists, rosters, timetables and student-related information
Supporting communication between students, families, pastoral care teams and school leaders
Assisting with administration, stationery procurement, lost property and Student Services operations
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a busy school environment

About You

The successful applicant will be calm, organised, accurate and service-minded, with strong communication skills and a genuine heart for supporting young people.

You Will Have

Demonstrated experience in a busy administration, customer service or student support role
Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn College systems
A professional, caring and confidential approach
A commitment to supporting the Christian ethos, values and mission of Emmanuel College

Essential Requirements

Current Working with Children Check / Blue Card
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Administration experience, preferably in a school setting

A Certificate IV in Administration or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.
