About The Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Lead Educator Plumbing to support the effective delivery of vocational education and training programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, drive teaching excellence, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, assess and coordinate high-quality vocational education programs
Mentor and support teaching staff across multiple programs
Coordinate course administration including timetabling, enrolment planning, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
Engage with industry and community stakeholders to enhance program relevance
Promote a safe, inclusive and learner-centred environment
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic’s values

Skills And Experience Required

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
AQF Level 6+ qualification in adult or vocational education, or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in plumbing or related field
Extensive teaching experience with strong understanding of learner-centred methodologies
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ICT skills
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate educational programs
Knowledge of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
