About The Role
The Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (Collaborative Centre) is seeking a Director, Workforce Education and Development to lead the design, delivery, and strategic oversight of the Collaborative Centre's workforce education and development function. This role is integral to building a highly skilled, diverse, and multidisciplinary mental health and wellbeing workforce across Victoria by coordinating and promoting continuing education and professional development for core capabilities across the entire sector.
Reporting to the Co-CEOs, the Director will oversee initiatives aimed at strengthening and supporting the mental health and wellbeing workforce by increasing the diversity, availability, and uptake of learning opportunities. They will ensure the delivery of a high-quality, efficient continuing education and professional development ecosystem that supports all mental health and wellbeing workers—regardless of professional discipline, background, role, setting, or location—enabling the development of a shared set of core capabilities that translate into improved mental health and wellbeing treatment, care and support for all Victorians.

About You
- Oversee the design and delivery of the Collaborative Centre's workforce education and development function.
- Lead the establishment of partnerships and governance arrangements for supporting Victoria's mental health and wellbeing workforces in collaboration with the Department of Health and the sector.
- Lead the design and implementation of the Collaborative Centre's first Workforce Development and Education Strategy 2025-2028 for core mental health and wellbeing capabilities, aligned to the Victorian Mental Health Workforce Strategy and the National Mental Health Workforce Strategy 2022-2032.
- Oversee the development, delivery, promotion and coordination of continuing education and professional development activities for core mental health and wellbeing capabilities.
- Lead and manage complex projects and initiatives as required and develop strategic directions, policy and responses for the Board, Minister and Department of Health in relation to a range of workforce education and development matters and other priority areas as needed.
