Brisbane School of Distance Education is seeking a Head of Department (Curriculum) to temporarily join the existing high-performing team from 14th July 2025 to 12th December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
It is expected that the successful applicant will work collaboratively with the members of the leadership team to pursue and achieve the School's vision with a focus on student support and wellbeing.
The Head of Department will actively work with staff members in their designated areas of responsibility to nurture positive relationships and deliver improved outcomes for students.

About The Role
An opportunity exists for a dynamic, collaborative primary school leader for the temporary vacancy of A/HOD P-6 t at BrisbaneSDE. Opportunities for the role include:
- Leading and working with teachers to develop, align and quality assure the three levels of planning
- Leading and working with teachers in the implementation of the Australian Curriculum v9.0 including the embedding of Literacy, to enhance successful outcomes for students
- Quality assuring the curriculum cycle and moderation processes to strengthen teacher capability
- Leading a teaching team to deliver excellence in teaching and learning and digital pedagogies with a focus on student engagement and improved learning outcomes
