We are working in partnership with a growing Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, Independent co-educational school teaching in the Christian tradition, located in the Gladstone region of Queensland. The school prides itself on a collaborative teaching approach, that provides an environment where students feel welcome, physically and intellectually stimulated and encouraged to thrive.

This position will include a small (0.2-0.4 FTE) teaching component, as operationally required by the College.
Responsibilities Include:
• Be an active participant of the college Executive Team.
• In conjunction with the College Executive Team, be responsible for teacher allocations.
• Assist in the selection of new teaching and support staff for the whole school.
• Liaise with the Principal about staffing issues and management processes.
• Support all aspects of student welfare, reporting to the Principal and the wellbeing team, communicating relevant information to staff, documenting issues accurately and taking supportive steps as appropriate.
• Work with members of the College Executive Team to lead, initiate and contribute to designing, developing and articulating the strategic direction of the whole school.
• In conjunction with other members of the College Executive Team, lead staff in ongoing professional development of rigorous classroom practice.
• Support in all aspects of curriculum review and development.
• Being an example and catalyst in maintaining a high professional standard amongst the staff.
• Act as Principal when the Principal is absent.
• Support the Principal as an additional Media liaison and assist with the Marketing and Promotion team.
• Ability to work across two campuses. Primary: Kindergarten to Year 6, Secondary: Year 7 – 12.
