At Bright Beginning Childcare, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and early childhood education to children in our community. Our 29-place service is known for its warm, nurturing environment, long standing team with great culture and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of every child. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the 2IC.
Role Overview
As the 2IC, you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the service. You will assist in leading and mentoring our dedicated team of educators, ensuring that our high standards of care and education are maintained. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about making a positive impact in early childhood education and is looking to take on a leadership position within a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Support: Assist the Centre Director in overseeing the daily operations of the childcare centre, including staff management, program implementation, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Team Development: Mentor and support educators, providing guidance and feedback to promote professional growth and development.
- Program Delivery: Contribute to the planning and delivery of educational programs that meet the developmental needs and interests of the children.
- Family Engagement: Foster positive relationships with families and communicate effectively to support their involvement in their child’s learning journey.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the centre’s practices meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (Diploma) and a current Working with Children Check.
- Experience: Proven experience in a childcare setting, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and engage effectively with families.
- Attributes: Passion for early childhood education, a proactive approach, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
