About The Role

The Department of Education, a vital part of the School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education, is dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities we serve. We are seeking an inspiring and forward-thinking academic to join our team and lead the way in educational leadership and/or curriculum pedagogy within our Initial Teacher Education programs. You will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, design and enhance curriculum, and ensure our programs meet the highest standards of quality, relevance, and accreditation. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the department’s research profile, supervise and mentor postgraduate students, and collaborate with colleagues to strengthen teaching and learning across the department.
To succeed, you will bring expertise in tertiary teaching, a growing research track record, and proven skills in curriculum innovation across blended, hybrid, and online environments. Your leadership, organisational skills, and ability to engage and inspire students will be essential, along with the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About You
To thrive in this role, you'll bring experience in the following areas:
- Demonstrated tertiary teaching excellence, including unit coordination, in educational leadership and/or curriculum pedagogy.
- Expertise in innovative curriculum development across diverse delivery modes.
- A strong ability to mentor and build capacity in students.
- An emerging track record of quality research publications.
- Strong organisational skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor in Education and/or Postgraduate Teaching Degree
- A Doctoral qualification relevant to Education
