Position Information
Ambarvale High School is a comprehensive Years 7-12 school with an enrolment of 803 students, which includes 69 students in our Support Unit. Our school has 35% of students identify as coming from a non-English speaking background and 12.4% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Ambarvale High School is committed to preparing students for the 21st Century. Our school has many innovative programs which provide opportunities for students to engage in creative thinking, problem solving and student-based learning. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and approval to teach food technology.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver quality differentiated teaching and learning programs which cater for the diverse learning needs and backgrounds of all students.
- Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member of a diverse faculty and a commitment to whole-school programs.
- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and ability to manage practical workspaces to create a classroom environment that is safe, engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
