About The Role
As the Deputy Principal of Year 3 to Year 6 and Specialist Teachers, you will collaborate with an expanding executive leadership team, including the Principal, Prep to Year 2 Deputy Principal, Head of Department (Curriculum), and Head of Special Education Services. You will be responsible for ensuring positive learning outcomes for all students. At Everleigh State School, the primary focus is developing staff capability in the Australian Curriculum Version 9 and implementing Structured Literacy across Prep to Year 6. In addition, you will assist in leading the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) agenda, manage and maintain the OneSchool timetable (including supervisions, playground, and specialist lesson schedules), and work closely with key staff to ensure a smooth transition for Year 6 students moving into Year 7.
Your Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
