About The Role
As the Head of Department, you will lead the curriculum focus, aligning it with both school and departmental initiatives to ensure a cohesive and impactful educational approach. You will actively contribute to the delivery of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division vision while working to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. In addition, you will foster positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders, creating a supportive and collaborative environment for all involved.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - Curriculum, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students, with a focus on Year 7, transition and the school's Wellbeing Program.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
- Contribute positively to the school culture and the Leadership team.
