Our brand new Early Learning Centre (ELC) has been architecturally designed specifically to exceed best practice industry standards, which opened in October 2024, with the licensed capacity to accommodate up to 88 children.
About You
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, kind, and caring Lead Educator to deliver outstanding education and care for the children at our long daycare service.
Preferred candidates will posses an Early Childhood Teaching degree or Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care, with a minimum of two years previous experience in a lead role, ideally in the preschool age group. You will need to be passionate about early childhood education and play based learning, with a commitment to bringing that learning to life through programs that inspire the children in our care to reach their full potential. We are looking for team leader who brings their best selves to work and build positive relationships with the children and families to create a safe, fun, inviting, and nurturing learning environment.
About The Role
We are currnetly recruiting for a Lead Educator in our Preschool Room (ages 3-5 years)
Reporting to the Centre Coordinator, our Lead Educators are responsible for developing and implementing an innovative play based learning program, documenting the children's learning journey, and ensuring the room operates efficiently and in accordance with the required standards, legislation, and regulations. An important element of this role will also be leading and mentoring a team of educators, fostering a collaborative environment that drives and supports continuous improvement.

This position offers a salary up to $80,000 under Council's salary system, dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate, with employment terms and conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working 38 hours a week, accruing one rostered day off (RDO) each month.
For experienced and suitably qualified candidates, Council will consider VISA sponsorship under our existing Orana DAMA Labour Agreement.
