The Role
We have an exciting Permanent Full-Time position available to join our Electrical Educational Delivery team, based primarily at Acacia Ridge however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
In this role, you’ll be supported by an experienced and passionate team, working under the guidance of the Business Manager to provide high-quality, industry-relevant training that makes a real difference.
SkillsTech Region frequently recruits educators for both short-term and long-term vacancies. This process will establish a suitability pool for up to 12 months, which may be used to fill future permanent and temporary opportunities as they arise.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, or equivalent, and the following:
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.
Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
