In The Role You Will
- Develop HPE curriculum aligned units incorporating practical activities that are underpinned by contemporary, evidence-based learning design principles (e.g., representative practice, constraint manipulation).
- Design safe and inclusive learning environments for diverse learners that encourages student engagement.
- Design scope and sequence documents using modified games and activities to deliver holistic HPE/PDHPE outcomes and integrate cross-curricular priorities.
- Stay informed on curriculum reform national education trends and evidence-based practice.
- Conduct program reviews to ensure relevance across diverse school settings
- Partner with professional associations to secure endorsement and accreditation of education products.
- Build and maintain relationships with educators, systems leaders and curriculum authorities.
Ideally you will have:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse groups, including educators, administrators and sport industry professionals.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes, ideally within a sport, education or community focussed environment.
- Recognised teaching qualification and current registration in an Australian state or territory.
- HPE/PDHPE teaching experience and demonstrated expertise in curriculum development.
- Primary classroom teaching experience and broad curriculum knowledge across subjects.
- Knowledge of the Australian curriculum and state curriculum/syllabus implementation.
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary motor learning theory and its application in learning design.
- Proven ability to design and implement resources that embed sport in classroom programs.
