The position of Principal Management Accountant - External Budget, Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation, plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of departmental objectives through the delivery of key budget processes, planning, reporting, and provision of client support.
In this role you will take a leadership role in the delivery of State Budget Papers and processes, resource planning, financial analysis and reporting. This includes assisting in the preparation and coordination of materials for budget submissions and Budget Committee Hearings, facilitating updates to departmental financial data through the Queensland Treasury Tridata system and the maintenance of internal budgets and reporting tools such as SAP, Excel and Power BI.
You will support senior stakeholders through the provision of expert management accounting services including budget planning, performance analysis and recommendations including the preparation and quality assurance of a wide range of briefs, reports, submissions and papers.
Additionally, you will play a key role supporting business areas across the department through the coordination of departmental reporting activities, development and maintenance of financial tools, systems and processes and provision of advice.
