We’re looking for two experienced and motivated Fitness Managers, with one role based at Parkinson and the other at Logan North. Each Fitness Manager will lead their site’s Health Club team, drive membership net growth and performance, and deliver outstanding experiences for members and the local community.
About The Role
As Fitness Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Health Club while leading a diverse team of fitness professionals. You’ll balance people leadership, commercial performance and member experience, ensuring the club operates safely, efficiently and in line with CVM’s values.
Role
This is a hands-on leadership role. In addition to managing the Health Club, you will actively contribute to service delivery by:
- Teaching eight Group Fitness classes per week
- Completing gym floor hours, supporting members and maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Performing Duty Manager shifts as required, working collaboratively as part of the site Head of Department (HOD) team
You’ll be a visible leader on the floor, building relationships, coaching your team in real time and setting the standard for service, professionalism and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high performing Health Club team including Personal Trainers, Gym Floor staff and Group Fitness Instructors
- Create a positive, energetic culture that reflects CVM values and delivers great member experiences
- Drive membership growth, retention and overall Health Club performance
- Be a visible, hands on leader through gym floor hours, group fitness classes and duty management shifts
- Support sales activity through strong member engagement, local promotion and community outreach
- Ensure the Health Club operates safely, professionally and in line with policies and procedures
- Oversee daily operations including rostering, presentation standards and basic reporting
- Work closely with the Facility Manager and Head Of Department team to achieve site and business goals
- Stay up to date with industry trends and encourage ongoing development within the team
About You
- Proven experience in a fitness, health club or leisure management role.
- Strong people leader with the ability to engage, motivate and develop teams.
- Commercially minded, with experience working to sales targets and KPIs.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about health, fitness and delivering great experiences.

Qualifications (Required)
- Certificate III & IV in Fitness
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Paid Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Lifeguard Qualification (or ability to obtain)
