Role Summary
A Casual Teacher at Reddam House plays a pivotal role in guiding students through their critical educational journey. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction in one or more subjects aligned with the NESA curriculum. The teacher is tasked with inspiring academic excellence, fostering intellectual curiosity, and supporting the personal development of students. By creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the broader school community, the teacher ensures that each student is empowered to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across primary and/or secondary subjects.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Support students in their academic progress and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with staff and follow curriculum guidelines.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in teaching primary and/or secondary classes, and specialist subjects would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of subjects effectively and engage students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to monitor and report on student progress accurately.
- Experience in organising and supervising school activities and events.
- Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Accreditation with NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority).
Additional Requirements
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
- Provide lunch & playground cover and assist with pick up and drop off duties.
- A willingness to attend school events outside regular hours as required (e.g., performances, parent-teacher interviews, etc.).
