About The Role
As the Head of Department - The Arts you will oversee all Visual and Performing Arts areas in the school.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Provide strong educational leadership by developing, articulating, and committing to a shared vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Promote equity and excellence by embedding socially just practices and setting high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
- Lead learning and improvement through active engagement in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Build collaborative partnerships with students, parents, community groups, and relevant government agencies to support learning and wellbeing.
- Lead strategically and responsibly by being future-focused, understanding relevant legislation and policy, and effectively managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
Highly Desirable Skills And Experience
- You will have a depth of understanding of curriculum, pedagogy and organizational requirements across QCAA, ACARA and VET areas.
- You will be working in a diverse learning environment with a supportive team where innovation and alignment are valued.
