The Role
The College invites applications for a passionate and committed SecondaryMathematics Teacher to join the team on a full-time contract from Term 2 through to the end of the 2026 academic year, with the potential for extension. This position includes teaching Junior Secondary (Years 7 - 10) students.
Reporting to the Head of Junior Secondary, the successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences that support students in achieving their personal best.
All teaching staff at Coomera Anglican College are expected to contribute to the full life of the College, including active participation in pastoral care, sport, cocurricular programs and special events.
To Be Successful, You Will
- Be passionate about and experienced in teaching Mathematics to Secondary students (Years 7 - 10).
- Demonstrate the ability to differentiate and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences.
- Apply contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies.
- Effectively incorporate digital technologies into teaching and learning.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
- Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the wider College community.
- Be willing and able to contribute to the cocurricular and sporting life of the College.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people.
- Experience teaching Science to Junior Secondary students will be highly regarded.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education.
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
- Commitment to the Anglican ethos and active support for the values and culture of the College.
