Kilcoy State School, established in 1892, is located in the northern section of the Somerset Shire in Queensland. It is located close to the centre of town in the heart of a rapidly changing rural area, with several established and budding industries. With an enrolment of approximately 275 students from Prep to Year 6, Kilcoy State School is supported by talented and passionate educators with many areas of personal expertise. This composition of staffing and support provides the best possible environment for our students in which to learn. In addition to this, the enthusiasm and open friendliness of our school community provide an excellent platform upon which positive relationships have been founded.

About The Role
This position will suit an adaptive and caring leader who is passionate about student achievement, staff development, and strengthening a positive, inclusive school culture within a strong regional community.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Support the Principal in leading the school community to develop and commit to a shared vision focused on high-quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputise when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and socially just leadership role embedded in daily school practice.
- Promote and maintain high standards of performance and continuous improvement for students and staff through ongoing professional learning.
- Build and sustain effective partnerships with parents, community groups, government agencies, industry, and business.
- Lead strategically with a future-focused mindset, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies while effectively managing resources to achieve school goals.
