Winton State School is part of Education Queensland's Central Queensland Region. It operates as a continuous P-12 school with multi-age, enrolment-driven classes across early, middle, junior secondary and senior years. Many senior students undertake traineeships, with some subjects available through Distance Education. The school focuses on areas of special expertise rather than sector divisions. Winton is located in Western Queensland, 178 km north-west of Longreach, with all-weather road access to Brisbane, Sydney, Rockhampton, Mt Isa and Townsville. It is connected by rail to Rockhampton (via Longreach), with regular air services and daily bus connections to Brisbane and Mt Isa.
We're recruiting an Early Childhood qualified teacher to join our close-knit team at Winton State School, delivering learning across Kindergarten to Prep. With a small Kindergarten cohort of approximately 10 students, this role requires a teacher with a recognised early childhood qualification and a passion for supporting young learners in a multi-age setting.
Whether you're just starting out or looking for a rewarding regional move, this is your chance to be part of something meaningful within a supportive school community.
