As Head of department, you will assist in the delivery of Cleveland District State High School's strategic plan whilst providing strong leadership with a focus on curriculum, staff development, and managing teaching and learning of the Social Science faculty.

The Perfect Fit
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and have a high degree of working knowledge of the Social Science syllabus Years 7-12.
They will need to have proven capacity to lead teachers in developing and implementing innovative, high quality teaching and learning programs and assessment practices that supports student achievement and is accountable for the effective management of the Social Science department in the school.
Evidence of effectively using data analysis to improve student learning outcomes and creating a culture of staff professional learning to build both the individual and collective capacity to maintain a high performing faculty.
They will also need to have capacity to contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership team and lead initiatives across the whole school.
