About The Role
We are seeking a skilledArt Teacherto design and deliver high-quality visual arts programs for students of all experience levels. This role plays a key part in maintaining Hazelhurst’s reputation for excellence by fostering a supportive, inclusive, and professionally enriching learning environment.
You will bring both artistic expertise and teaching experience, guiding students through creative development while sharing contemporary art practices and industry insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver visual arts programs across various media (e.g. painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media)
- Support students from beginner to advanced levels
- Create a welcoming, safe and engaging studio environment
- Maintain high standards of studio safety and presentation
- Mentor students and share contemporary art practices
About You
- Qualified in Visual Arts or Design (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
- Practising artist with demonstrated teaching experience
- Strong skills in one or more visual arts disciplines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Desirable:Teaching qualifications, multi-disciplinary experience, exhibitions/awards, First Aid.

- Package:$93,854 gross p.a (full time equivalent) plus 12% superannuation.
- Hourly Rate:$51.56 gross per hour plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent Part Time - working 7 hours per week.
