Who We Are
Spring Mountain State School opened January 2019, catering for students from Prep to Year 6, located in the newest suburb of Greater Springfield called Spring Mountain. All students are provided with an individualised education that challenges their minds, extends their emotional intelligence and builds self-worth and acceptance. About The Role
The successful applicant will lead across the vital portfolios of Inclusion and Inclusive Practices, guiding and strategically leading a dedicated Inclusion Team to ensure every learner is supported to thrive. You will also line manage the Upper School staff and students, champion Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), and lead the coordination of our Health Hub and onsite agency partnerships to deliver holistic support for students and families. Your leadership will be central to building capability in inclusive pedagogy and supporting staff to deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching and learning.
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
- Support the Principal in leading a shared educational vision focused on achieving high-quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputise when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical role that promotes socially just practices across the school.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, community groups, government agencies, and industry while contributing to a strategic, future-focused direction.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning, apply knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, and manage resources effectively to achieve school goals.
Highly Desirale Skills And Experience
- Exceptional knowledge and leadership of inclusive practices, systems and processes
- Strong upper school curriculum knowledge and its application within inclusive programming
- Demonstrated success leading whole-school PBL frameworks
- High-level capability in data collection, analysis and feed-up to drive evidence-based practice
- Proven ability to build and sustain partnerships with health professionals, universities and EQ support personnel
- Advanced ICT capability to design, implement and manage systems of support across the school
