Who We Are
Ipswich North State School is a metropolitan primary school located in close proximity to the Ipswich Business hub.
Our school currently has approximately 240 students from Prep to Year 6 in a coeducational environment where teachers are focused on building positive relationships with their students and families.
Ipswich North State School offers a modern, relevant curriculum where planning, assessment and reporting is aligned to the Australian Curriculum.

The Head of Department - Student Engagement will be an integral member of the Leadership Team supporting Students in Year 3-6 to ensure that a culture of learning is optimised within our learning community.
As the Head of Department - Student Engagement, you will:
- Support the Yr 3-6 teaching team (5 teachers), Inclusion Team and Allied Health Team to support students in Yr 3-6 to engage with learning
- Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary
- Develop and support high quality teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies
- Build positive relationships with parents, staff and community members to support student learning and inclusion
