What We Are Looking For
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the position of Classroom Teacher (Year 4) at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Yeppoon. This is a full-time contract position commencing Term 3, 2026 (13 July 2026) until 17 January 2027.
The successful applicant requires excellent people skills, a capacity to work as a part of a team, and the willingness to support students, staff and parents of the school.

- Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
- Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
- Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton
About Us
Sacred Heart Primary School Yeppoon has a clear Catholic identity with regular prayer and liturgical celebrations as well as the teaching of Religious Education. The school has a collaborative culture with year level teams of teachers planning together within the School Curriculum Framework. Specialist teachers provide lessons in PE and The Arts. The school offers significant opportunities for students to excel in sport and music.
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is extensively resourced with a court-size covered area, full size oval, modern play equipment, a performing arts area and a sacred site and labyrinth. Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
