Synopsis:
Haileybury is seeking a qualified and experienced Classroom Teacher Year 5 & 6 to join our Castlefield Campus. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Fixed-Term role, commencing Monday, 20 July 2026 until 17 September 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and support students in their learning journey within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Classroom Teacher, you will:
- Deliver curriculum using best-practice pedagogy aligned with Haileybury’s Explicit Instruction model and contemporary teaching approaches.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider School community.
- Use varied assessment methods to support student success and measure achievement accurately.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop blended learning resources, assessments and learning opportunities.
- Engage in professional collaboration across campus and utilise digital learning platforms and the LMS effectively.
- Participate in relevant professional development and contribute to co-curricular activities including sport, Arts and outdoor programs.
- Maintain attendance and assessment records, provide feedback and reports, attend meetings, supervisory duties and parent/teacher interviews as required.
About You

- Recognised teaching qualifications.
- Ability to cater to diverse learning needs in coeducational and single-gender classroom settings.
- Strong capacity to build positive and collaborative relationships with students and staff.
- Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of effective pedagogy.
- Proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning.
- Current VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain) and a valid Criminal Record Check.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with effective time-management abilities.
