Melbourne Girls Grammar School Council seeks to appoint the 13th Principal of Melbourne Girls Grammar (MGGS).
Established in 1893, MGGS develops confident and independent young women who are prepared for the world: ethical women of action. We seek excellence in all we do. Our students achieve outstanding academic outcomes, but just as important are their learning and experiences outside the classroom. We are known for thoughtful innovation that is deeply considered and centred on the best interests of girls.
Our values of courage, integrity, compassion and self-discipline are embedded across all aspects of School life and reflected in the warm, inclusive and vibrant MGGS community. Our Anglican heritage and ethos are part of our essence. MGGS students speak not only of personal achievement, but of collective success, genuine support for one another and of the strong relationships they build with our exceptional staff.
Located in South Yarra, opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens, MGGS’s 1,100 day and boarding students enjoy a mix of heritage buildings and flexible contemporary learning spaces that reflect our educational ethos. Our Morris Hall Junior School campus is a short walk from our main Merton Hall campus.
Council looks forward with confidence and aspiration to partnering with our next Principal on the continued renewal of the School, maintaining our future focus while also honouring our history and traditions, ensuring MGGS continues to thrive in the decades to come.
