Montessori East is looking for a skilled and passionate teacher who values truly child-led learning. This role is to lead a mixed class of 9-12 year old children. You will be joining our team of supportive and like-minded professionals, with an experienced classroom assistant and a warm and welcoming community.
We are open to expressions of interest from both Montessori teachers and experienced primary teachers who share the same philosophy of education.
This is a full-time, maternity leave contract role, starting in Term 3 2026 until Term 2 2027.
We are an authentic Montessori school with a collaborative team, a friendly and engaging parent community, and a strong commitment to the children and families. Our school is well-established, supportive, and easily accessible via Bondi Junction train station. You will be working in an established classroom with an experienced assistant.
Who will the successful applicant be?
- A teacher who demonstrates enthusiasm and the ability to inspire primary age students
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the curriculum
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ideally holds a Montessori AMI 6-12 Diploma or an experience primary teacher
