Lead curriculum implementation and whole-school improvement at Queens Beach State School as Head of Department (Curriculum). This temporary leadership opportunity suits a motivated and strategic educator with strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum V9, systematic curriculum delivery, and inclusive teaching practices.
Working as part of a close-knit leadership team, you will support staff capability, drive evidence-informed approaches to teaching reading, and contribute to a collaborative culture focused on student success and continuous improvement.
This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 13 July 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead relevant curriculum areas or whole school program in developing and providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
- Be future-oriented and strategic.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school program to achieve goals.
