We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our centre into its next chapter. Your opportunity
Burrabi Place Children's Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our well-established early learning service located on the Southern Cross University Lismore campus.
This is an exciting opportunity for a values-driven leader to shape educational excellence, foster a positive and inclusive culture, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families and educators. Working closely with the Approved Provider, you will lead all aspects of centre operations, educational quality, compliance and team development while championing a child-safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.

- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of educators to deliver exceptional learning and care experiences for children.
- Drive educational excellence through high-quality programs, continuous improvement and a strong commitment to the National Quality Framework.
- Champion child safety and wellbeing, creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive.
- Build meaningful partnerships with families, the University and the wider community to strengthen outcomes for children.
- Shape the future of the service by leading strategic initiatives, fostering innovation and supporting sustainable growth.
What you will bring
You are an experienced and passionate early childhood leader with a commitment to delivering high-quality education and care. You thrive in building positive relationships, leading teams through change and continuous improvement, and creating safe, inclusive environments where children, families and educators can flourish.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved) and eligibility to be a Nominated Supervisor.
- A current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
- Experience managing compliance, quality improvement and centre operations.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills.
While not essential, we would love to hear from candidates who have experience leading Assessment and Rating processes, managing centre budgets and occupancy, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Connections within the local early childhood sector and a passion for innovation and community engagement would also be highly valued.
