An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and faith-filled leader to serve as Principal of St Monica’s Parish School, Walkerville, commencing Term 4 2026
St Monica’s Parish School is a welcoming reception to Year 6 catholic primary school, where learning is personalised, contemporary and centred on the development of the whole child – socially, emotionally and spiritually.
The Principal will lead a vibrant school community, building on the strong foundations established through faithful leadership and a culture of partnership with families, parish and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong spiritual, educational and strategic leadership as the faith and learning leader of the school
- Lead and nurture an authentic Catholic identity and mission across all aspects of school life
- Drive continuous improvement through evidence-informed strategic and school improvement planning
- Foster a culture of high expectations in teaching, learning and student wellbeing
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with staff, families, parish and the broader community
- Lead, mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and collective efficacy
- Ensure effective governance, compliance and stewardship of school resources and operations, including student safety and wellbeing

- Demonstrates a deep commitment to Catholic education and faith formation
- Proven leadership experience in a school or system context
- Brings strong strategic capability and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Prioritises student learning, wellbeing and inclusion
- Builds positive, respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Possesses highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Models integrity, authenticity and a collaborative leadership approach
