About Bialik College
Bialik College is a pluralist Jewish school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children’s Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our secondary school students. The role will include teaching VCE English classes.
This is a full-time ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering engaging English lessons that challenge and inspire students across our Middle School and Senior School.
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to support their learning
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and assessment strategies
- Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
- Continuously improving your teaching practice through professional development and reflection
Skills and Experience
- VIT Registration is essential along with relevant tertiary qualification
- Solid experience in teaching VCE English to students in Middle and Senior School year levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate with the broader school community
