Middle Leadership Positions - Commencing in 2027

Applications are invited from highly relational practitioners, who will bring outstanding leadership and innovation, a strong, contemporary vision for the interdependence of student wellbeing, pastoral care, and learning, for the following teaching position: Head of House McAuley, and two new Head of House positions.

These are full-time continuing teaching position with Middle Leadership responsibilities aligned with the cyclical appointment of the School’s Middle Leaders, commencing Wednesday, 20 January 2027. These roles also perform the role of a classroom teacher commensurate to the role level.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher and middle leader who will play a pivotal role in supporting students to thrive socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
Working collaboratively with the Head of Pastoral Care, Health and Wellness Team, Heads of Year, and Home Group teachers, the Head of House leads the implementation of the School's pastoral care approach and program to embed the wellbeing framework and positive behaviour strategies including restorative practices.
The successful candidate will be a highly capable leader who demonstrates:
- A commitment to supporting the mission, vision and Mercy values of All Hallows’ School
- Lead, support, mentor and develop the capability of Home Group teachers within their House
- Lead the application of contemporary evidence-based practice in student care and wellbeing
- Foster the personal growth of students through advice, support, relevant guidance and input into the FitforLife program
- Engage in professional discourse with House staff on an individual and group basis through regular feedback and consultation to promote active participation and support within the House
- Support and monitor the implementation of all School policies and procedures within the House
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and members of the wider School community.
This is a full-time, Tier 3, four-year middle leadership appointment with an underlying, continuing teaching position.
