The Opportunity
We are seeking innovative, enthusiastic, and experienced Junior School Teachers who are passionate about our College community and eager to build on their contributions to our dedicated teaching team, commencing in 2027. We have various 12-month contract positions available (3x 1.0FTE, 1x 0.4FTE), please clearly state your preferred FTE load in your application.
The Role
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the Australian Curriculum, utilising deep subject knowledge to achieve clear course objectives
- Encourage active classroom participation, provide constructive feedback, and inspire students to reach their full potential
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom culture that fosters appropriate work habits and mutual respect
- Implement effective assessment strategies and maintain accurate, timely records of student progress and result
- Build trusting, compassionate relationships with students, prioritising their emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development
- Participate in extra-curricular programs and attend out-of-hours school events as required
The Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate
- Demonstrated success in delivering the Australian Curriculum within a Junior School environment
- Strong pedagogical skills with a commitment to innovative teaching practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to connect with students, parents, and staff
- A strong dedication to student welfare, pastoral care, and holistic development
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular and school community initiatives
