Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role located in the Greater Melbourne Area. The Teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school curriculum and the Islamic framework. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate records, and supporting individual learning needs. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, and contribute to school events and co-curricular activities. The role also involves promoting student well-being, classroom management, and actively participating in professional learning and development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Relevant teaching qualification and registration (such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, and eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching registration).
- Demonstrated experience in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment across relevant year levels and subjects.
- Strong skills in classroom management, student engagement, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and to work collaboratively within a school community.
- Understanding of, and openness to working within, an Islamic educational framework, with respect for diverse faith backgrounds.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in using digital tools and learning technologies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and contributing to whole-school initiatives.
- Previous experience in faith-based or independent schools is beneficial but not required.
