About The Role
The
Teacher - Junior Primary is responsible for creating positive, engaging and developmentally responsive learning experiences that support students in the foundational years of their education. Working collaboratively with colleagues, leaders and families, the successful applicant will foster a nurturing classroom environment where every child is supported to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

- Demonstrates outstanding teaching practice in the early years and junior primary setting.
- Creates engaging, inclusive and play-informed learning experiences.
- Develops strong literacy and numeracy foundations for all learners.
- Builds positive and productive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Uses assessment and feedback effectively to support student growth and achievement.
- Supports the wellbeing, development and individual needs of every learner.
- Contributes positively to the life of the College beyond the classroom.
- Actively supports and upholds the Catholic ethos and values of the College.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Experience and passion for teaching in a junior primary setting.
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices, early years learning and the Australian Curriculum.
- A strong understanding of evidence-informed literacy and numeracy instruction.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- A commitment to continuous professional learning and improvement.
- A genuine commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Cardijn College.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- Current South Australian Teacher Registration.
- Accreditation (or eligibility for Accreditation) in Catholic Education South Australia.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- RRHAN-EC certification and all mandatory compliance requirements.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
