St. James Primary Banora Point is seeking an innovative, energetic Teacher with a commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education and student-centred learning. Co2 - Leader of Inclusion + Teaching Load
The person appointed will have a permanent teaching position in the school and will involve a teaching load.
Co2 point “Leader of Inclusion” positions are offered a contract within a set 3-year cycle as Coordinator. The current 3 year cycle is 2025 - 2027.
All Coordinator positions are advertised every 3 years within the school and incumbents are eligible for reappointment.
Position Type: Full time permanent teacher + cyclic leadership appointment
FTE: 1.0 FTE
Commencement date: 28 January 2027
Term of Appointment: Full time permanent teacher + remainder of the current Coordinator cycle

Teacher Accreditation
Teachers who are appointed to a leadership position, whether new to the position or applying to be re-appointed, should have begun, or will begin to make a commitment to the requirements of the diocese Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead document, Category C (Category E for positions of Catechesis and School Evangelisation), during this next triennium cycle.
To be eligible to apply for a (Co2) position a teacher would normally be a fulltime permanent teacher classified Step 3 Proficient on the Teacher's Standards Classification.
Each teacher in a leadership position (Co2) will participate in an ongoing performance review in accordance with the Diocesan Policy & Procedures for Performance Review of Coordinators.
Applicants Must
- have a current NSW Working with Children Check
- full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
- compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

- Experience and willingness to authentically lead whole school inclusion and inclusive education practices
- Demonstrated capacity to develop one’s self as a leader
- Capacity and skills to lead others to enable success for all students
- Ability to lead learning and change for improved student outcomes
- Ability to manage effectively
- a willingness to lead and contribute positively as part of a professional learning community
- Proven ability to teach all primary school KLAs and Grades

- How would you lead contemporary, evidence-informed and inclusive teaching practices that improve participation, independence and achievement?
- What would you bring to the leadership of inclusion at St James, and how would you contribute to a culture where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish?
