Manjimup Education Support Centre (MESC) is a Kindergarten to Year 12 (K-12) school providing high-quality, individualised education for students with disability and complex learning needs. We hold high expectations for every student and provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment where students are known, valued and encouraged to achieve their potential. Our teaching responds to each student’s strengths, needs and aspirations, with a strong focus on achievement, engagement, wellbeing, communication, independence and meaningful participation in school and community life.
For more than 30 years, MESC has worked closely with families, local schools, community organisations and support agencies to improve outcomes for students. The school currently supports 29 students through small class sizes, skilled staff and individualised planning. Co-located with Manjimup Primary School and Manjimup Senior High School, MESC provides students with opportunities to learn alongside their peers, participate in shared programs and events, access community and workplace experiences, and develop pathways for life beyond school. Our approach recognises each student’s abilities and supports them to build confidence, make choices, develop greater independence and contribute meaningfully to their community.

The Role
Manjimup Education Support Centre (MESC) is seeking a caring, skilled and collaborative Early Years Education Support Teacher to join our K–12 school community. The successful applicant will ideally create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom where every child is known, valued and supported to make progress from their individual starting point.
We are looking for a teacher who builds strong, respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues, and who holds high expectations for all learners. The successful applicant will ideally use explicit, evidence-informed teaching alongside individualised planning, purposeful play-based learning, communication supports and positive approaches to behaviour and regulation. Experience supporting students with disability, learning challenges, complex communication needs, and diverse sensory and regulation needs will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teachers, education assistants, families and support professionals. They should contribute positively to our whole-school culture and our shared commitment to improving student achievement, engagement, wellbeing, communication and independence..
