Outdoor Education Teacher
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Outdoor Education, the successful candidate will contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of outdoor experiences that promote personal growth, resilience, wellbeing and environmental awareness. The role requires a strong commitment to student safety, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, staff and external providers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, preparing and documenting Outdoor Education programs across multiple year levels.
- Coordinating and leading programs from Prep to Year 9.
- Managing student wellbeing and risk management processes, including incident reporting and follow-up.
- Liaising with students, parents, staff and specialist providers to support individual student needs and program participation.
- Collaborating with colleagues to manage equipment, resources, logistics and program preparation.
- Overseeing food planning, transport arrangements and operational requirements for camps and expeditions.
- Providing leadership and support to Outdoor Education instructors and program staff.
- Contributing actively to curriculum development, program reviews and the broader life of the school community.
