Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

Hume has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
The School aspires to develop young people who are kind, creative, inquiring, socially and emotionally at ease, and who strive to achieve their personal best in all their endeavours.
In 2025, the school has 2,960 students and employs some 300 staff - 208 teaching and 92 non-teaching. The anticipated student enrolment at each campus is at Freier 1,456, Donnybrook 1,028 and Kalkallo 476.
By 2029, the School will ultimately have some 3,612 students (Freier 1,428, Donnybrook 1,596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff totalling 350 across its three campuses.
As one of Victoria’s fastest growing schools, it is expected to be one of the largest non-government schools in the state, with plans for further expansion.

About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Primary educator to join our wonderful team, in a supportive and professional environment at our Freier campus. The role is a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term position, commencing on Monday, 20 April 2026 and concluding on Friday, 11 December 2026.

All teachers share a significant responsibility in preparing young people to lead successful and productive lives. The quality of the teacher is the single-most important in-school factor influencing student achievement. Teachers can be a source of inspiration and, equally importantly, provide a dependable and consistent influence on young people as they grow and flourish, and ultimately make choices about their future. All Teachers are expected to actively engage in the co-curricular and pastoral care program

Requirements Of The Role

Bachelor of Education degree or higher
Current registration, or immediate eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
