Our Girl’s Secondary School are currently seeking a passionate English Teacher with VCE experience to support Year 8, 9 and 11 classrooms. We can offer between 0.4 - 1.0 FTE on an ongoing permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging VCE lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
Design and assess student work in accordance with VCE assessment protocols
Use data to inform teaching practice and support student progress
Contribute to curriculum development, moderation, and exam preparation
Create and enhance a positive, safe and challenging learning environment
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources that engage students in learning

About You:

Demonstrated experience teaching VCE (Year 11) or extensive experience teaching Year 10
Humanities teaching experience desirable
In-depth knowledge of VCAA study designs and assessment requirements
Knowledge of how students learn and how to teach them effectively
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous improvement
A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
Current VIT registration
