About The Role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Academic Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting parents as they deliver the Euka programme at home, offering guidance on learning progress, assessments, and curriculum-related enquiries. You’ll also lead the internal assessment marking process, leveraging innovative technology and AI tools to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely evaluation. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment Supervision, Marking, and Quality Control
- Lead and oversee the internal assessment marking process, leveraging AI and other technology to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Collaborate in the development of assessment tasks, marking guides, and rubrics that align with learning outcomes.
- Review and moderate marked assessments to uphold Euka’s quality standards, providing feedback or adjustments as needed.
- Manage the end-to-end assessment lifecycle, ensuring timely, high-quality evaluation of student work.
Support and Communications:
- Respond promptly and professionally to parent enquiries regarding their child’s progress, answering questions about assignments, learning outcomes, or programme structure.
- Provide clear, confident guidance on curriculum-related enquiries to support parents in delivering the educational programme to their children.
- Offer resources and advice to empower parents, fostering confidence in their role as educators, with an approachable and supportive tone.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Clear understanding of developmental milestones and learning progressions across various age groups
- Familiarity with assessment design or marking processes.
- Confidence in addressing curriculum questions and supporting parents, with a teaching background being advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to provide actionable feedback during quality assurance processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain educational concepts clearly to parents and provide constructive feedback on assessments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote working environment.
- Familiarity with educational standards and curriculum frameworks is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Some experience with educational technology or digital content creation tools.
- Understanding of pedagogy or instructional strategies, particularly from Foundation to Grade 12
- Exposure to the latest technologies and its use in supporting student learning
- Experience engaging with parents or caregivers in an educational context.
- While a teaching background is an advantage, it’s not required
