About The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity to contribute the Master of Education as a part of the Education Programs at Victoria University. Victoria University has a strong reputation in education. As a Lecturer in Education you will have the opportunity to lead research informed teaching in the areas of education policy and leadership.
The successful candidate will teach into the Master of Education.
An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:
- Provide leadership in designing innovative curricula, developing learning materials, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses.
- Contribute to the academic service, collegiality and engagement, including efficient management of internal service roles
This is full-time continuing role at a (teaching & research) Academic B $109,392 - $129,902 per annum classification, plus 17% superannuation working 36.75 hours per week. This position is located at our Footscray Park campus.
About You
- Hold a qualification – PhD in the area of relevancy in Education Policy and Leadership.
- A broad-based knowledge of Education Policy and Leadership with a preference for a focus on but limited to education sectors such as TAFE, Adult Education and/or Higher Education.
- Experience in teaching and research in a Higher Education context alongside the capacity to mentor early career researchers.
- Have a strong passion for teaching and a desire for continuous improvement and development in student learning.
- Possess a background in training or teaching at the higher education level, particularly in the discipline of education.
- Have demonstrated academic knowledge of the broad issues relevant to education.
- Are keen to contribute to research programs within the discipline and the college.
- Can facilitate excellence in post-graduate teaching through the development and promotion of innovative teaching methods.
