About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for current international students at the University of Wollongong (UOW) to join our team as UOW Student Ambassadors. This paid, casual role supports international student recruitment and engagement by sharing authentic student experiences and assisting with marketing and communications activities.
Student Ambassadors play a vital role in promoting UOW to prospective international students and are involved in a range of activities including content creation, event support, and peer engagement. We are currently seeking students from the following regions: Africa, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Latin America.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Currently enrolled as a student at UOW or UOW College.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well in a team;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English;
- Ability to translate English to the native language or vice versa.
Desirable
- Having at least 1.5 to 2 years of enrolment remaining with the University of Wollongong (UOW College and the University);
- Active participant or interest in the student experience on UOW campus (clubs and societies, volunteering, orientation, entertainment, and key events);
- Background experience or study in digital marketing or design.
- Fluency in one or more native languages.
