QBuild is seeking 2 x dynamic and passionate Learning and Development Officers to join our growing L&D team on a 12-month temp contract. Provide responsive, customer focused support for learning initiatives and activities.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations, and correctional and health facilities. In a disaster event, QBuild staff are among the first on the ground, completing repairs and building works to help communities get back on their feet.
The highly collaborative Learning and Development team is passionate about delivering enhanced training and development opportunities to employees across our organisation. As we focus on the implementation of our comprehensive L&D strategy, we're looking for team members who are committed to driving a culture of continuous learning and to ensuring that our training directly correlates with our strategic goals. Our work is instrumental in equipping our workforce with the skills they need to excel in their roles, driving better outcomes for both the organisation and the communities we support.
About The Roles
You'll be joining QBuild's rapidly expanding L&D team, growing from 6 to 12 over the next 3 months. This growth has been driven by an organisational need to create meaningful learning experiences that will empower QBuild employees to acquire knowledge and skills in the most engaging and impactful way possible.
The two workstreams within L&D where the roles are available are:
- Learning Strategy and Operations
- Learning Technology and Analytics
Across both roles you'll be providing support to the L&D team in developing, implementing and reviewing resources. You'll also be assisting in the tracking, analysis and auditing of learning and development data, procedures and resources.
Your high-level organisation, communication and attention to detail skills will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of a range of high-quality written materials including email correspondence, reports, guides, and presentations.
In Learning Strategy and Operations, you'll be providing invaluable administrative and logistical support to a program of work which drives forward our refreshed L&D strategy, including workforce engagement activities, delivery of external training state-wide, and consistent training operations, compliance and best practice.
In Learning Technology and Analytics, you'll manage data within our Learning Management System, including training records and reporting. You'll also be engaging with key internal stakeholders, with a focus on training compliance.
About You
You're a confident and adaptable team player who loves working in the detail. You thrive in environments where you can flexibly move between tasks and where every day is different.
You'll bring demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite and Adobe Acrobat. A love for data and a customer-focused mindset are essential to enhance the work we do.
