About This Job
The Principal ensures the pursuit of educational excellence rooted in Catholic values and the Loreto charism. As a spiritual and educational leader, the Principal nurtures and sustains an environment in which faith, learning, justice and community are fostered for their students, staff and families.
With a negotiated start date in 2026, the successful candidate will:
- serve as the spiritual leader of the College, modelling Catholic faith and the Loreto charism through personal witness, religious practice and responsive decision making;
- bring a passion for single-sex girls education;
- provide instructional leadership that promotes academic excellence, personalised and learning and student wellbeing within a dynamic and inclusive curriculum;
- strategically lead innovation and evidence based improvement aligned with contemporary research and the College’s values and goals;
- dedicate themselves to their own personal and professional growth, and the professional development of staff through reflective practice, coaching and capacity building;
- demonstrate operational and financial acumen in managing resources, compliance, infrastructure and governance to ensure sustainability and mission aligned excellence;
- be a relational and visible leader who cultivates strong partnerships and transparent communication with students, staff, families, alumni and the broader community;
- bring an entrepreneurial approach to leading strategically aligned to the College’s vision and purpose.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Current Australian State-based Teacher Registration with the ability to maintain registration in accordance with the applicable legislation;
- Minimum qualifications: Masters level in either Education, Education Leadership, Theology or a related field;
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education would be favourably considered;
- Is a practicing Catholic committed to becoming an active part of a parish within the local community;
- A demonstrated track record of outstanding school leadership at Principal or Executive leadership level;
