Position Information
Founded in a rich heritage of public education, Randwick High School draws strength in its diverse and engaged learning community. General Selection Criteria
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, along with strong organisational and management capabilities, including the capacity to lead and oversee the complex day-to-day operations of the school.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and manage student wellbeing and behaviour programs that enhance wellbeing, engagement, and a positive school culture and community connection.
- Proven leadership with the capacity to mentor and coach staff, supporting whole-school staff wellbeing in an environment of change and promoting a culture of high expectations and collaborative practice.
- The ability to initiate and collaborate strategically and systematically to develop creative and innovative solutions at a school and system level.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
