About The Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will lead the development and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with both school and departmental initiatives while contributing to the vision of the State Schools Division. You will drive excellence in teaching and learning, supporting teachers to enhance their practice and improve student outcomes. At the same time, you will foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders, creating a collaborative and inclusive environment where learning thrives and the school community is strengthened.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
