ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our Bundoora campus as an Assistant Principal, commencing in Term 1, 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about Science of Learning principles, including Explicit and Direct Instruction, and who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
The Assistant Principal role includes a 0.5 teaching load.

SELECTION CRITERIA
- Current VIT Registration
- Demonstrated understanding of child safety obligations and a strong commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment
- A strong understanding of, and commitment to, the Science of Learning
- Experience in upper primary and/or lower secondary teaching
- Demonstrated expertise in Direct Instruction and Explicit Instruction methodologies (preferred)
- Proven ability to lead and mentor staff, with a focus on instructional coaching and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated capacity to build a positive, productive and high-expectations school culture
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
- Strong references attesting to reliability, teamwork, professional conduct, and dedication
This is a full-time position, commencing Term 1, 2026.
