The Opportunity
We are currently seeking sessional teachers to contribute to the delivery of transformative and engaging learning and teaching experiences in our higher education Diplomas. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality professional and responsive teaching and learning that supports the individual learning needs of a diverse range of students.
Teaching Areas
We are seeking educators with expertise in one or more of the following fields:
- Mathematics
- Science (Chemistry, Biology & Physics)
- Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Programming)
- Information Technology
Applicants who are suitably qualified and experienced may be appointed to teach multiple units.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of contemporary and flexible teaching and learning through face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid environments that adapt to a personalised learning experience and suit individuals and groups learning needs
- Plan, develop, and adapt teaching and learning materials and resources that contribute to and support the independent learning skills and innovative teaching practice through curriculum design, resource creation, and policy development
- Monitor academic standards in line with Monash University and other educational providers, ensuring curriculum delivery adopts best teaching practice and students are provided with specific and timely feedback
- Maintain and develop professional relevance and expertise in educational and technical disciplines
- Undertake and participate in a range of academic and co-curricular activities that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Monash College community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Knowledge and skills in implementing contemporary learning and teaching methods and practices.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other teachers, general staff, leaders and management.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree relevant to the teaching discipline for which you are applying
- 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
